                                    [description] => Efetuou-se um diagnóstico da biblioteca pública municipal do Estado de Santa Catarina. O estudo utilizou como metodologia à pesquisa descritiva e documental. Três categorias foram utilizadas para o levantamento de dados: a identificação, o acervo e o usuário da biblioteca pública municipal. Os dados mostraram uma instituição ainda frágil ante aos desafios da biblioteca pública junto às comunidades.
Abstract
This article presents a diagnosis of the Town Public Libraries in the Santa
Catarina State. The methodology applied was investigation of documents and
questionnaires. The data were divided in three categories: the identification,
the collection and the users of the Town Public Libraries. The results showed
that this is still a fragile Institution to attend the community of the Santa
Catarina State.
