                    [0] => The research is inserted in the center of the contradiction between the recognition of the importance of heritage and its preservation and the questioning about its representativeness. The problematization of what to preserve, why and how is approached from the case study of the city of São Leopoldo (RS), which in 2016 prepared its Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage Inventory through the methodology of the System IPHAN Knowledge and Management System. In a city whose value attribution processes through the heritage instrument led to the affirmation of a restricted history, that of German immigration, it is questioned whether the inventory instrument and the methodology used were capable of expanding the idea of heritage in the sense of other narratives@en

A problematização sobre o que preservar, por que e de que maneira é abordada a partir do estudo de caso da cidade de São Leopoldo (RS), que no ano de 2016 elaborou seu Inventário do Patrimônio Histórico, Artístico e Cultural através da metodologia do Sistema Integrado de Conhecimento e Gestão do IPHAN.
