                    [0] => In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, debates about information entered the spotlight in Brazil, since fake news about the virus and science denial can lead to people’s death. It has been observed that the elevated number of shared “fake news”, even about such a delicate topic, contributed to the creation of a social environment of infodemia and misinformation. In this essay the proposal is to realize a reflection about the information/misinformation tension, powered by the popularization of the internet and social media. The focus of the empirical study is the called “Gabinete do Ódio” and the circulations associated with it that took place through the WhatsApp chat application. For this, we resort in methodological terms to Documentary Research (Gil, 2008), having as research resource on-line sites that provide the materiality of the investigation and videos broadcasted on TV news from Rede Globo with themes related to WhatsApp, Gabinete do Ódio and fake news. For the treatment of this material, the Analysis of Audiovisual Materiality (Coutinho, 2016; 2018) will be used, a research method that seeks to understand the complexities of TV journalistic content as a unit of text and paratext. Preliminary results point to the difficulties of identifying and measuring false content propagated on WhatsApp, being one of the most active spaces of the “Gabinete do Ódio”@en
                    [1] => Em meio à pandemia da Covid-19 a questão da informação ganhou centralidade no Brasil, já que notícias falsas sobre o vírus e a negação da ciência podem levar pessoas à morte. Observou-se que elevado número de “fake news” divulgadas, mesmo em um assunto tão delicado, contribuiu para a criação de um ambiente social de infodemia e desinformação. Nesse artigo a proposta é realizar uma reflexão sobre o tensionamento informação/desinformação, potencializado com a popularização da internet e das redes sociais digitais. O foco do estudo empírico é o chamado “Gabinete do Ódio” e as circulações a ele associadas que ocorreram por meio do aplicativo de conversas WhatsApp. Para isso, recorre-se em termos metodológicos à Pesquisa Documental (Gil, 2008), tendo como universo de pesquisa sites on-line que fornecerão a materialidade da investigação e vídeos veiculados em telejornais da Rede Globo com temáticas relacionadas ao WhatsApp, Gabinete do Ódio e notícias falsas. Para o tratamento desse material será utilizada a Análise da Materialidade Audiovisual (Coutinho, 2016; 2018), método de investigação que busca compreender as complexidades de conteúdos telejornalísticos como uma unidade de texto e paratexto. Os resultados preliminares apontam para as dificuldades de se identificar e mensurar conteúdos falsos propagados no WhatsApp, sendo um dos espaços de maior atuação do Gabinete do Ódio@pt
