                    [0] => At the threshold of the 20th century, humanity has experienced significant advances in information and communication technologies. In this period, many areas of science adopted informational approaches in their research, they assumed interdisciplinary methodologies in their investigations. Disciplines like Philosophy and Ethics of Information have been introduced, trying to understand, among other things, what information is, its ontological and epistemological status, and its effects on human actions. One of the classic problems of philosophy - investigated with the contribution of these new disciplines - is the one concerning knowledge. Fred Dretske is one of the contemporary thinkers who investigates this problem from an informational point of view, proposes a definition aimed at solving the deficiencies of the traditional approach. For Dretske, knowledge is a belief causally supported by information. This present article intends to discuss the aspects of Dretske´s definition of knowledge. To this end, we divide it into three parts. In the first part, we analyzes what is involved in the Dretskean concept of information. In the second part, we will discuss Dretske´s definition of knowledge and some elements related to it. Finally, in the last part, we expose some criticisms directed to his notions of information and knowledge.@en
                    [1] => No limiar do século XX, a humanidade vivencia significativo avanço nas tecnologias de informação e de comunicação. Neste período, diversos campos do saber adotam como pano de fundo abordagens informacionais, em suas pesquisas, assumindo metodologias interdisciplinares, em suas investigações. Surgem novas disciplinas, como a Filosofia e Ética da Informação, buscando compreender, dentre outras coisas, o que é a informação, seu estatuto ontológico e epistemológico, seus efeitos nas ações humanas. Um dos problemas clássicos da filosofia, investigado com o auxílio dessas novas disciplinas, é o do conhecimento. Fred Dretske é um dos pensadores contemporâneos que o investiga sob um viés informacional, sugerindo uma definição com vistas a sanar as lacunas da abordagem tradicional. Para ele, conhecimento é crença causalmente sustentada por informação. Apresentamos, neste artigo, alguns dos aspectos da definição de conhecimento em Dretske. Para atingir esse fim, dividimos em três partes. Na primeira, tratamos do que envolve o conceito dretskiano de informação. Na segunda, apresentamos a definição de conhecimento desse autor e alguns elementos relacionados a ela. Por fim, na última parte, expomos algumas críticas direcionadas às suas noções de informação e conhecimento.@pt
