                                            [0] => Cultural heritage is responsible for performing the social and symbolic function of mediation between the past, present and future of the group, in order to ensure its continuity in time and its integrity in space. In this writing, we sought to highlight the contributions on the concepts of cultural heritage, mediation and information present in the works of professor and anthropologist Rubens Alves da Silva. For this, this research, characterized by an exploratory and descriptive approach, had its bibliographic framework based on the works found in the Lattes Curriculum of the author researched and selected by the presence of the term “cultural heritage” in the title. With this, it was possible to perceive the different paths and contributions of the author to the construction of the field, making an intermediary between the studies of heritage and culture with the science of information. In addition, Rubens Alves da Silva's concern in highlighting his studies by inserting discussions on cultural diversity of historically erased groups was perceptible, with a main focus on black culture, memory and identity.
                                            [1] => O patrimônio cultural é responsável por desempenhar a função social e simbólica de mediação entre o passado, o presente e o futuro do grupo, de forma a assegurar sua continuidade no tempo e sua integridade no espaço. No presente escrito, buscou-se evidenciar as contribuições sobre os conceitos de patrimônio cultural, mediação e informação presentes nas obras do professor e antropólogo Rubens Alves da Silva. Para isso, esta pesquisa, caracterizada pelo recorte exploratório e descritivo, teve seu arcabouço bibliográfico baseado nas obras encontradas no Currículo Lattes do autor pesquisado e selecionadas pela presença do termo “patrimônio cultural” no título. Com isso, foi possível perceber os diferentes caminhos e contribuições do autor para a construção do campo, fazendo um intermédio entre os estudos do patrimônio e cultura com a ciência da informação. Além disso, ficou perceptível a preocupação de Rubens Alves da Silva em destacar seus estudos pela inserção de discussões sobre diversidade cultural de grupos historicamente apagados, com foco principal da cultura, memória e identidade negra.
