                                            [0] => Based on the assumption that public buildings override the architecture of their surroundings and confronting this hypothesis with the definitions of area perimeter used in public policies to protect cultural heritage, a literature review was done aiming to verify what has been written and researched about area perimeter. Once the research is over, one can notice that the term “area perimeter” in the sense it is intended to be used in this study can be found more recurrently in documents and in cultural heritage protection laws. This way, the document research methodology in the listed buildings dossier and in the cultural heritage protection laws has become the purpose of this research. The objectives of this study have a technological and an analytical character; the analytical character denotes the critical analysis of the area perimeter subject, whereas the technologic character is focused on the development of the terminological instrument and the outline of the prototype.
 
                                            [1] => Esta pesquisa parte do pressuposto que os prédios públicos sobrepujam a arquitetura de seu entorno e confronta esta hipótese com as definições de perímetro de entorno usadas nas políticas públicas de proteção ao patrimônio cultural. Desta forma fez-se uma revisão de literatura com o objetivo de verificar o que se tem escrito e pesquisado acerca do assunto, feito este levantamento observa-se que o termo perímetro de entorno no sentido que se pretende usá-lo neste trabalho pode ser encontrado em maior recorrência de uso nos documentos e nas legislações de proteção ao patrimônio cultural. Portanto propõe –se uma metodologia de pesquisa documental nos dossiês de tombamento, nas legislações de proteção ao patrimônio. Tem-se por objetivo elaborar um protótipo de busca e recuperação das informações sobre as diretrizes do perímetro de entorno, fazendo uso de algumas ferramentas como webprotégé, gráficos UML para modelagem do sistema e do banco de dados.
