                                            [1] => En el mes de diciembre del año 2019 se detectó el primer brote de COVID-19 en Wuhan (China) y en el mes de marzo del 2020 fue declarada como pandemia por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) debido a su rápida propagación y al número de víctimas fatales que provocaba(1). Desde entonces, se registraron hasta la actualidad un total de 6 453 458 muertes y 595 219 966 contagios a nivel mundial(2). Frente a este contexto adverso, la investigación se tornó una actividad fundamental para la creación de evidencias, así como tomar decisiones a todo nivel, ya que la pandemia no solo afecto desde el punto de vista sanitario, sino también económico, educativo, social, cultural, etc.
