[0] => Objective: Mapping scientific productionon digital health literacy and its repercussions on the health of theelderly.Methodology: This is a scoping review based on the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology. After selecting the evidence, a total sample of 18 publications was included in the study. Results: The following databases were identified: MEDLINE® Online Medical Literature Search and Analysis System (accessed via PubMed); Scopus; Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL); Web of Science (WoS); Embase (International Biomedical Database). Conclusions: The study made it possible to map the repercussions of low and high digital health literacy. It was possible to identify that low literacy has negative repercussions in the contexto of health in the aging process, among them: deficits in self-care, lackof social and technological interaction; decline in physical and psychological domains; disparities in the ability to evaluate health information; decline in quality of life and misinformation in health. This concept should be rethought as a health tool to reduce misinformation during the ageing process and thus optimize the approach of the elderly to digital information.
