                                            [0] => Clinical information systems, as well as electronic clinical records, have been very important support tools for information management within the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, many hospitals and health centers in Latin American and Caribbean countries still do not have digitized clinical information systems, which has been a challenge for the management of the pandemic. The objective of this letter is to share the experience of the implementation of an information system in the III Regional Hospital Honorio Delgado (HRHD), of Arequipa, one of the largest of the Ministry of Health in southern Peru.
                                            [1] => Los sistemas de información clínica, así como los registros clínicos electrónicos, han sido herramientas de apoyo muy importantes para la gestión de la información dentro de la actual pandemia por COVID-19.(1) Sin embargo, muchos hospitales y centros de salud de países de América Latina y el Caribe aún no cuentan con sistemas de información clínica digitalizados, lo cual ha sido un desafío para el manejo de la pandemia. Es objetivo de esta carta compartir la experiencia de la implementación de un sistema de información en el Hospital iii Regional Honorio Delgado (HRHD), de Arequipa, uno de los más grandes del Ministerio de Salud en el sur del Perú.
