The bibliographic control is considered a tool of great relevance for the librarian's performance and a great instrument for the consolidation of his professional activity, in view of the growing production and increase in the registration of information, allowing the retrieval, treatment and dissemination of information. It concludes that bibliographic control enables access to information and its use for the construction of knowledge, contributing to a universalized information society.
                                            [1] => Estudo sobre o Controle Bibliográfico na Sociedade da Informação. O objetivo geral visa discorrer sobre a organização da informação na Sociedade da Informação e, os específicos: descrever a evolução cronológica do Controle Bibliográfico; evidenciar a relação da Sociedade da Informação com o Controle Bibliográfico; destacar o crescimento substancial da informação e desenvolvimento dos meios e mecanismos para a disseminação do conhecimento, principalmente científico e tecnológico. A pesquisa é bibliográfica e os resultados referem à importância da atuação do bibliotecário e sua contribuição na Sociedade da Informação para a organização do conhecimento produzido. O Controle Bibliográfico é considerado uma ferramenta de grande relevância para atuação do bibliotecário e grande instrumento de consolidação da sua atividade profissional, tendo em vista a crescente produção e aumento do registro de informações, permitindo a recuperação, tratamento e disseminação da informação. Conclui que o Controle Bibliográfico possibilita o acesso à informação e possibilita o seu uso para a construção do conhecimento, contribuindo para uma Sociedade da Informação universalizada.
