                    [0] => The Institutional Repositories (IR) are extremely important for the effective dissemination of scientific knowledge and the attention that the institution gives to its IR proves to be essential for determining strategies and the best management options. This management aims to publicize the RI service among the community of users who contribute to the population, making it more used and valued. The interventionist vision and monitoring, on the part of managers and administrators, proves to be vital within the scope of different approaches towards behavioral changes capable of having this effect on the academic body. Using a methodology based on the mixed methods paradigm - Mixed Methods Approach, an interview was carried out, between January and May 2021, with managers and administrators of the IR of public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), in Portugal, in a parallel between universities and polytechnic institutes. The study made it possible to demonstrate, in the opinion of managers and administrators, the global state of IR, the main reasons that inhibit the practice of self-archiving and the (non)compliance with Open Access Policies, by teachers and researchers, highlighting, almost for unanimity, lack of time, lack of knowledge of the role of IR and the lack of incentives and/or penalties. This research aims to be an important contribution to the enrichment of literature and encourage reflection on IR, encouraging a stronger intervention in its image. Being aware that these are a relevant vehicle for communicating science, it is necessary to rethink strategies to make teachers and researchers believe in the real importance of IR and boost its use.@en
                    [1] => Os Repositórios Institucionais (RI) apresentam-se de extrema importância para a efetiva disseminação do conhecimento científico e a atenção que a instituição atribui ao seu RI revela-se essencial para determinar estratégias e as melhores opções de gestão. Gestão essa com a finalidade de divulgar o serviço do RI junto da comunidade de utilizadores que contribuem para o povoar, tornando-o mais utilizado e valorizado. A visão interventiva e o acompanhamento, por parte dos gestores e administradores, mostram-se vitais no âmbito de diversas abordagens no propósito de mudanças comportamentais capazes de surtir esse efeito no corpo acadêmico. Sob uma metodologia assente no paradigma de métodos mistos - Mixed Methods Approach, foi aplicada uma entrevista, entre janeiro e maio de 2021, aos gestores e administradores dos RI de Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) públicas em Portugal, num paralelismo entre universidades e institutos politécnicos. O estudo permitiu demonstrar, na opinião dos gestores e administradores, o estado global dos RI, os principais motivos que inibem a prática do autoarquivo e o (in)cumprimento das Políticas de Acesso Aberto, pelos professores e investigadores, destacando-se, quase por unanimidade, a falta de tempo, o desconhecimento do papel dos RI e a falta de incentivos e ou de penalizações. A presente investigação pretende ser um contributo importante para o enriquecimento da literatura e fomentar a reflexão sobre os RI, suscitando uma intervenção mais fortificada da sua imagem. Tendo-se consciência de que estes são um pertinente veículo de comunicação de ciência, há que se pensar estratégias para fazer crer aos professores e investigadores a real importância dos RI e impulsionar a sua utilização.@pt
