                    [0] => This research aims to present the main challenges faced by librarians of the Federal Institute of Education of Maranhão (IFMA) to foster the implementation of the institutional repository. This study is based on approaches that favored the development of initiatives for the democratization of scientific communication through open access in Brazil, around the implementation of technological tools for scientific dissemination, such as institutional repositories. The research is characterized as mixed, descriptive and exploratory and was based on the application of an online questionnaire, built based on studies already conducted that had similar objectives in relation to the implementation of institutional repositories in institutions of the same network. The questionnaire was sent by e-mail to the 23 active IFMA libraries in
operation, of which 12 were answered. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, evidencing the main difficulties that until then disfavor the implementation of the institutional repository. It was concluded that despite the initiatives carried out by librarians to start the process of implementing the repository, some issues were evidenced and characterized as major obstacles in this implementation process, such as: little technical knowledge about the implementation processes of the repository; failure to prioritize the development of the implementation actions of the repository added to the lack of institutional policies for compulsory deposit of academic production, as well as the low interaction of librarians with the Information Technology team, configuring themselves as the main difficulties for the full development of the process of implementation of the institutional repository.@en
                    [1] => Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar os principais desafios enfrentados pelos bibliotecários do Instituto Federal de Educação do Maranhão (IFMA) para fomentar a implantação do repositório institucional. O referido estudo fundamenta-se em abordagens que favoreceram o desenvolvimento das iniciativas de democratização da comunicação científica por meio do acesso aberto no Brasil, em torno da implementação de ferramentas tecnológicas de divulgação científica, caso dos repositórios institucionais. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como mista, do tipo descritiva e exploratória e se deu a partir da aplicação de um questionário online, construído baseado em estudos já realizados que tiveram objetivos semelhantes em relação à implantação dos repositórios institucionais em instituições da mesma rede. O questionário foi enviado por e-mail para as 23 bibliotecas ativas do IFMA em funcionamento, dos quais 12 foram respondidos. Os dados foram analisados de forma quantitativa e qualitativa, evidenciando as principais dificuldades que desfavorecem até então a implementação do repositório institucional. Concluiu-se, que apesar das iniciativas realizadas pelos bibliotecários para iniciar o processo de implementação do repositório, algumas questões foram evidenciadas e caracterizadas como relevantes entraves nesse processo de implementação, tais como: pouco conhecimento técnico sobre os processos de implementação do repositório; ausência em priorizar o desenvolvimento das ações de implementação do repositório somada à falta de políticas institucionais para depósito compulsório da produção acadêmica, bem como a baixa interação dos bibliotecários com a equipe de Tecnologia da Informação, configurando-se como principais dificuldades para o pleno desenvolvimento do processo de implantação do repositório institucional.@pt
