                                            [0] => Community libraries are enhancers of the culture of peace and inclusive and social actions; yet, the guidelines for the right to education, culture, information and leisure are aligned. In the methodological dimension, the research is based on the bibliometric approach and brings to light the question about the eminence of the theme 'community library' in scientific journals of Information Science. The diagnosis encompasses indicators and measures: i) the temporal rise of the theme in the last 20 years; ii) the scientific periods; iii) the outline of the researchers and the most representative keywords. With the search, in May 2021, 80 documentary items are retrieved from the BRAPCI publications collection. The result of the investigation highlights the year 2017 as the most productive, totaling 11 publications; the RBBD magazine as the main communication vehicle, with 11 documentary items retrieved; and, a range of 51 articles produced by a team of two or three scholars. On the productive list, the pulverized form of the theme among 156 researchers is ratified. In this way, the theme locates history and memory that surround the publicity of community strength for informational democratization, and the community library locates forms of social empowerment and active citizenship – given prominence, prospecting and sociocultural and (in)formative primacy to people.
                                            [1] => A biblioteca pública é potencializadora da cultura da paz, devido às ações inclusivas e sociais; ainda, alinha-se às diretrizes do direito à educação, à cultura, à informação e ao lazer. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar o rol de periódicos sobre biblioteca pública indexados no Acervo de Publicações Brapci no período de 2012 a 2021, de modo a caracterizar essa produção científica e temática no âmbito da Ciência da Informação. A dimensão metodológica delineia-se com a Base Brapci e as técnicas de análise bibliométrica. Situa-se, assim, um estudo descritivo e bibliográfico, realizado em abril de 2022 e que apresenta uma natureza quantitativa dos dados acerca da temática da biblioteca pública na Ciência da Informação. O diagnóstico versa sobre indicadores para: i) realçar a evolução temporal do tema nos últimos 10 anos; ii) o destaque dos períodos científicos que mais acolheram a temática; e, iii) os pesquisadores e as palavras-chave mais representativas. Os resultados recuperam um rol de 550 artigos no acervo Brapci e destacando o ano de 2017 como mais produtivo com 85 publicações, a revista Perspectivas em Ciência da Informação como principal veículo com 31 itens documentais recuperados e, um rol de 227 artigos produzidos por uma equipe de dois estudiosos. A conclusão situa história e memória que cerceiam a biblioteca pública para a democratização informacional e mostra que a instituição é uma esfera de empoderamento e protagonismo social. O estudo ratifica que a temática se mostra pulverizada em torno de 900 pesquisadores e 60 periódicos, situando a primazia e a prospecção cidadã e sociocultural da ambiência pública e necessária à biblioteca.
