                                            [0] => The present article intends to understand the common conceptual elements of observatories and propose a more effective understanding of their missions, functions, objectives, and possible classifications. To achieve this goal, 35 studies from different social, economic, and political sectors and contexts were analyzed, produced by around 80 authors. Therefore, it can be understood that observatories are infrastructures that aim to produce and disseminate information and knowledge about specific topics to support decision-making in different areas. These can be classified in different ways according to their objectives, target audiences, areas of activity, among other aspects. The results of the study indicate that observatories are important instruments for the production and dissemination of information and knowledge in different areas, such as health, education, environment, economics, among others. In addition, it was possible to identify the existence of different models of observatories, which vary according to their objectives and target audiences. The study presents a significant contribution to the consolidation of the theme of information and knowledge observatories in the scientific field, by aggregating initial and broad literature on the subject. It is hoped that this analysis can support future research on the subject and contribute to the development of public policies and business strategies that use observatories as decision-making instruments. Furthermore, the study points to the need for greater integration and articulation between existing observatories, in order to avoid duplication of efforts and to enhance the impact of their actions. The importance of investments in training and human resources development, as well as in information and communication technologies, is also highlighted to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the activities carried out by observatories.
                                            [1] => O presente artigo tem o intento de compreender os elementos conceituais comuns aos observatórios e propor um entendimento mais efetivo sobre suas missões, funções, objetivos e possíveis classificações. Para alcançar esse objetivo, foram analisados 35 estudos de diferentes setores e contextos sociais, econômicos e políticos, produzidos por cerca de 80 autores. Assim, pode-se apreender que os observatórios são infraestruturas que têm como objetivo produzir e disseminar informações e conhecimentos sobre temas específicos, a fim de subsidiar a tomada de decisão em diferentes áreas. Esses podem ser classificadas de diferentes formas, de acordo com seus objetivos, públicos-alvo, áreas de atuação, entre outros aspectos. Os resultados do estudo realizada indicam que os observatórios são importantes instrumentos para a produção e disseminação de informações e conhecimentos em diferentes áreas, como saúde, educação, meio ambiente, economia, entre outras. Além disso, foi possível identificar a existência de diferentes modelos de observatórios, que variam de acordo com seus objetivos e público-alvo. O estudo apresenta uma contribuição significativa para a consolidação da temática dos observatórios de informação e conhecimento no meio científico, ao agregar literatura inicial e ampla sobre o tema. Espera-se que essa análise possa subsidiar pesquisas futuras sobre o assunto e contribuir para o desenvolvimento de políticas públicas e estratégias empresariais que utilizem os observatórios como instrumentos para a tomada de decisão.  Além disso, o estudo aponta para a necessidade de maior integração e articulação entre os observatórios existentes, de forma a evitar duplicação de esforços e a potencializar o impacto de suas ações. Também é destacada a importância de investimentos em capacitação e formação de recursos humanos, bem como em tecnologias da informação e comunicação, para garantir a qualidade e a efetividade das atividades realizadas pelos observatórios.
