This fact is affecting the nature of competition, the success factor of the company. The heed for information in industry and society is increasing; information is seen as an essential resource and the effective information systems as a important part of management. Also the internationalization of usinesses and the global competition, as well as the increasing need of information for global markets and the standardization of the accessability, availability and storage of information are discussed. The author shows the changes which must occur in the industrial and economic sectors in the 90: she presents the progress in /formation services in 1991.
