Fontes de informação especializada: uma prática de ensino-aprendizagem com pesquisa na Universidade Federal do Paraná

Sources of specialized information: a research based didactic-approach at the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil

Apresenta uma prática didático-pedagógica e de pesquisa realizada no âmbito da disciplina Fontes de Informação Especializadas, do Curso de Graduação em Biblioteconomia, da Universidade Federal do Paraná, no primeiro semestre de 1997. Trata da elaboração do Catálogo Coletivo de Fontes Bibliográficas Especializadas do Sistema de Bibliotecas da UFPR, publicado em 1998, pela Imprensa Universitária da Instituição. Configura uma interessante iniciativa interdisciplinar ao colocar os alunos em contato com professores da disciplina, professores colaboradores do projeto Produção de Instrumentos Bibliográficos, bibliotecários do Sistema de Bibliotecas e pessoal da editoração; além de despertá-los para a atividade científica por meio de ações previamente planejadas e sistematizadas.@pt

The article presents a research bsed approach to teaching used in the course on Sources of Specialized Information offered at the Library School of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil, during the first semester of 1997. The paper describes the development of the Catálogo coletivo de fontes bibliográficas especializadas do Sistema de Bibliotecas da UFPR (Union catalogue of specialized bibliographic sources of the Library System of the UFPR), published in 1998, by the University Press of this Institution. It shows an interesting interdisciplinary endeavor, where students were in contact with professors of the course, faculty involved in the Production of bibliographical tools project, librarians of the Library System, and people engaged in the publishing business. Moreover; this method of teaching promoted the students´ interest in scientific research.@en
